Welcome to the Schengen visa page of the website of the Royal Netherlands Embassy in Moscow, Russia.

To apply for a Schengen visa for the Netherlands you are advised to make an appointment via calendar on the Embassy’s website. You can book an appointment with the Embassy or with the Netherlands Visa Service Centre in Moscow.
An appointment can be done only via calendar on our website. The agenda is open up to 3 weeks. Please note that appointments can not be made by telephone. Every Monday a new week is made available. Since the amount of applications to be submitted is limited, please book your appointment at least 3 weeks prior, or at the earliest 3 months prior to your date of travel. Exceptions to this rule can be made only in case of death or serious illness of a close relative (proof hereof must be presented). For each family member a separate appointment must be made, including children.
For each child a separate application form must be filled in, a separate applicable visa fee paid, even if the child is registered in the parent’s passport. A limited number of applications can be filled at the visa service centre without an appointment between 12:00 and 13:00. The processing time for these applications can take up to 10 working days.
NOTE: April and December are considered “high season”, so, please, book your appointment in time!
All visa applications have to be submitted by applicants in person. However, personal appearance of applicants can be waived in the following cases:
· For children up to 16 years old
· For persons, who have obtained at least 2 Schengen visas within the last 3 years. A representative of such a person must present a valid and/ or previous international passport(s) containing such visa and have a power of attorney signed by the applicant to collect the results of an application
The above-mentioned rule does not apply to applicants for a Temporary Residence Permit (MVV). Every applicant, including children must apply in person directly at the Embassy, without prior appointment, on working days between 09:00 and 12:00. Once all required documents are in order, the visa will be issued on the same day between 15:00 to 16:00.
In general the visa procedure takes 4 working days (including the days of submission of applications and collecting of results). However in some cases the visa procedure may be prolonged (up to 30 calendar days). One-day procedure is possible only in exceptional cases (e.g. death or serious illness of a close relative and proof hereof must be presented).

NOTE: Appointments in the agenda can only be done manually! Automatically generated appointments will be cancelled without prior warning!
